Hello, Jalopnik universe! We've missed you during our summer vacation. (We hope you've missed us, too.) But we're going to make it up to you with one of the best races of the season this weekend, as we make our inaugural visit to Daytona International Speedway.

Red Bull Global Rallycross Race Preview: Daytona International Speedway

The "World Center of Racing" produces some of the fastest racing in the world, and it'll be no exception with Red Bull GRC. The 600-horsepower Supercars have been hitting the rev limiter in sixth gear on one of the longest straightaways of the season. The .924-mile course, the longest in series history, is built within the track's International Horseshoe and features 13 turns. Drivers have been raving about hitting top speed, the return of the first-turn joker, and a fun rhythm section on the second half of the course.

Ken Block enters this weekend's race with all the momentum, as he completed the first perfect weekend under the current Red Bull GRC race format last month at Charlotte. He's been fast as always so far, but the quickest lap in practice so far was a 61.315-second run turned by Nelson Piquet Jr., the Supercars points leader over Scott Speed by a 46-point margin.
